About WaterMark Enterprises

Overview

WaterMark Enterprises, Inc. is a Christ-centered company based in Colorado. We are focused on developing software productivity systems for home educators. It is our goal to aid and support homeschool families by providing software systems that assists with the more time-consuming and repetitive work inherently part of educating children.

Our History

WaterMark Enterprises was founded as a consulting company in 1996 with a focus of delivering application development and consulting service to Fortune 500 companies. WaterMark completed many successful projects with companies like Bell Atlantic. These projects focused on improving our customer's process automation, record entry and retrieval methodologies, and/or their work force utilization. For each project we delivered a finished software product that was built from the ground up to address our customer needs. Many of these products are still heavily used today.

A New Focus

The company is owned and managed by Anne and David Waters. At the Lord's direction in 1999 they began the journey of home schooling their three daughters. Understanding the time and importance of the task, WaterMark was scaled back, by phasing out new product development and performing support on its existing products. This was a difficult decision, but one made out of obedience, that God has honored many times over.

The Result

Being new to homeschooling, Anne found the task of educating three children rivaled anything she had faced in the corporate world. Slowly a system emerged that naturally she began to automate using her software development skills. The idea for WaterMark's flagship product, Homeschool Chronicles, was born. After two years of development and refinement WaterMark launched its first home educators product in January of 2002. Homeschool Chronicles has been overwhelmingly received by the home school community across the country. WaterMark gives thanks for the product's success and Gods continued guidance.

Our Foundation

WaterMark is committed to building strong relationships with:

  • Our God in whom we trust for our Salvation
  • Our Family and Friends whom God has blessed us
  • Our customers, to support the pursuit of education for their children

Our Statement of Faith

Your personal relationship with God:

  • You can have eternal, abundant life through Jesus Christ.
  • God loves you and created you to have a personal relationship with Him
  • Our sin separates us from God
  • Only through Jesus Christ can you have a personal relationship with God
  • You must personally respond by trusting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
  • You can express your faith (trust) through prayer
  • Your trust in Jesus Christ begins a lifelong relationship

The Bible:

  • Both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

Father God:

  • There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ:

  • Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins. He arose from the dead, ascended into heaven, where He is now our High Priest and Advocate.

The Holy Spirit:

  • The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to convict men of sin; regenerate, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

The Church:

  • The true Church is made up of all who through faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united in the body of Christ of which He is the head.

The Sacraments:

  • Water baptism soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life.
  • The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.
